Even the Queen's feeling the financial pinch »
Posted By TechnologyExpert 3 months ago in Business & FinanceQueen Elizabeth II is reportedly short on cash to redecorate the Palace's State Rooms, which haven't been spruced up since the Queen took the throne in 1952. Plus, there isn't even enough money (about $65 million) to carry out less glamorous projects, like asbestos removal, rewiring and roof repair.

"does she take sponsorships? I know a guy who runs a decoration company and how cool would it be to have her marjesty's endorsement!"
Yes. This has been common for centuries. It allows one to put a special symbol/shield/heraldry on their items and write "by appointment to the Queen" on said items.

I got a double which would be good if this were baseball, but unfortunately, it's just one of Propeller's vagaries.

The figure of her net worth is somewhat misguided. Much of her wealth is real estate that can never be sold off and cost much to keep up. It's like being trusted with the family homestead but the relatives don't chip in very often. Over the years many things like theRoyal Yacht Britannia have been sold to lessen the cost associated with the monarch.
Europe in general has much history to keep up and maintain unlike here in north America and the cost is often carried on private backs, it seems like here we just tear it down and build anew.

You don't have a clue just how busy their schedules are, not to mention when ever they move it with hundreds of cameras in their face. They are the Royal Family and that's their job, they get paid to be at the countries beck and call but it's hardly a lucrative job. Before you belittle the Queen and her "non working lifestyle" look at he hours worked or some CEO's of fortune 500 corp and their pay compared to the Queen.
No dis-respect intended but look things up for yourself and learn just what it is the royals do and represent to the British Commonwealth.

This is sounding like a broken record...with different variations on markmawn2's end of comment regarding Hobe.

They are referring to taxpayer money, not Illuminati money. There is still plenty of that, especially from Oil speculation.

She is one of the most beloved Monarchs in British history, what I admire the most is her sense of duty which first came out during WW2 when she stayed in London with her parents and routinely visited the troops helping to maintain their spirit and pride. The then young Princess was very mature in her duties as spokes person British Pride and the will to persevere. While her Husband and children have left many wonder about just why we continue with the Monarch the Queen has been like a rock standing strong against the waves of time.. In other words she one cool lady.

Somehow, I just don't feel too sympathetic to Her Majesty's recent bout of financial woes....I'm sure her servants will feel it worse though.
