Do you think that oil prices would return to more modest levels if our media simply quit "reporting" them?

Officer, you'd better see what that man's smoking!

"Dude , do you want Oil to go up , I mean isn't fear the thing driving the prices right now , that and greed ?"

--Hehehe...I can't help but reflect on those days some years back (when we were getting at least semi-regular coverage of Iraq ) when Bushco and right wingers would come out swinging at the "liberal media" for daring to report the increasing number of deaths and car bombings in Iraq (and not all the fun times and merriment that must have been going on right under reporters' noses).

I can think of at least three reasons why Bush and Cheney aren't making any attempts to put a lid on things. Bush and Cheney's stock portfolios are the first two. The other one is that Republicans might be deluding themselves that voters will take out their frustrations on Democrats in Nov (and not just Republicans who are the ones who should be getting it with both barrels). I hope for right wingers' sake, that's not what they're doing. Or not...

It's more about the hope that the Republican party will die.

This is just one more way that our blind support of Zionism costs us dearly. We pay more at the gasoline pump and we pay more for groceries and for every other product we consume. We are forced to spend billions for our own security. We are committed to provide at least $30 billion in MILITARY aid to Israel over the next decade, and we provide additional billions in economic assistance. Israeli companies. operating beyond the reach of US courts, undercut American businesses and cost us jobs, which we then subsidize with foreign economic aid.

There are some decent people in Israel, and we wish them well, but their government does not act in the interests of the people of the United States in any way, and we should quit pretending they are (A) our friends, and (B) our valuable allies.

Seriously , I see the Stock Market News just like everyone else , no need to rub salt in the wound of America by reporting what , God forbid you don't know , everyone can see and feel .

No anger , just think it is redundant and condescending to report something everyone already knows .

1-2-Oscar- I feel that there are more than a few good people in Israel, I feel that it is likely a majority of the population but like most countries in the world very seldom does the government represent the people. I don't know why it is but it seems that we elect people who are subject to paranoia, or maybe they just become that way after we elect them. If one polled the general population of Iran and Israel I doubt if the majority would what war.

As for your statement on your governments foreign policy toward Israel and the mid east in general it has been flawed for many years and is part of the reason for much of the anti American feeling through out the world.

I hope this statement does not make me an Antisemite, but when a country such as the US. is viewed as a world police force it cannot show favortism because if it does it causes resentment.

At no time did I say, suggest, or imply that there are only a few "good people" in Israel. I agree that MOST of the people there are good, just as MOST of the people in Iran are good, MOST of the people in China are good, and MOST of the people in the United States are good and decent people.

Well, CR, where are the jewish dissenting voices screaming in protest as to what the hard right AIPAC and AEI are doing in their name?

Its bullsh*t. When Hagee, the christian rapurist, was giving 30 million to Israel saying the holacaust was gods will, where was the outrage? Did they return the money?

Left or right, its Israeli zionist first, american second. Just ask Lieberman.

Seymour Hersh just interviewed with Terry Gross of NPR, promoting his book about Bushes sponsorship of a terrorist group in Iraq to invade Iran and attack Iranians.

400 million dollars was approved so that cheney could carry out and run terrorist operations subverting and stirring up heat in Iran, so that eventually, in october or november, the american zionist media can report on Iranian aggression and the american military can carryout an extensive bombing campaign which they have already rehearsed. Cheney will not let Israel do it, because they don't have the firepower, and America will get blamed for it anyway.

F*ck Israel. Cheney is literally running his own secret operations in Iran right now. Oil, neocon zionists and christian zionist crusaders, what an axis of evil. Watch for the october suprise. OCTOBER SUPRISE, or noverber, after Obama is elected.

These people are murders, using americans like cannon fodder, and we get the blame for murdering 500,000 muslims.

the pathetic thing, is that congress APPROVED the money, and the military, who oppose it, haven't said a thing, no military officer has the patriotism or cajones to risk his career to fight this. The commander of operations in Iraq and Iran and Afganistan was fired for wanting to know what cheney was doing.

The group conducting raids into Iran, is on the list of official terrorist organizations. They have been trained by the USA, in some cases in america. Cheney has been giving them millions.

The democrats in congress have done nothing to stop this. They know about it, and are doing nothing.

Cheney is running a secret terrorist war against Iran, trying to foment action so he can bomb their military, not just one bomb, another shock and awe invasion. Especially if Obama is elected, Look for the October or November invasion, with a media propanda campaign leading up to it.

Anyone who is paying attention to the news can see whats going on. As the Oil deals get closer to being signed, decenting ministers are being taken out. A member of Al Maliki's own family was killed today. This is the face of American Imperialism. If Israel, tries to take out Iran's nuclear facilities with a surgical strike then we are in wwwIII and they better hope that all of their fancy gadgets work.

Did Nazi Germany have the right to exist?

Why should a zionist state that replicates nazi ideology (a "master race", "subhumans", "living space for the master race" and "ethnic cleansing / genocide for the subhumans") have a right to exist?

Here is an israeli jew that understands the basic precepts of american democracy much better than you do.

Why Israel Has No "Right to Exist" as a Jewish State

Religion â;; The Annapolis meeting is a con. We should say loud and clear that Israel has no right to exist as a Jewish state. To claim such a right to be racist must come from a being whose victim's face must hide very dark primordial aggression and hatred of all others.

And Iran doesn't? Iran exited thousands of years before the age of christianity.

Israel has the same right to exist as any country, or are you suggesting that God ordained the tribe of jews to create a DNA pure country in the middle east, to prepare the way for a christian rapture?

Nazi Germany deserved to be smacked about,,,, Israel deserves to be protected,,,, does that clear it up for you Hyper and brain,,,,,

The Nazis were trying to creat a pure race, I find it stupid of you to suggest that the Jews are doing what they had done to them,,,,, I think the little ball with an 8 that you shake to get answers to your life questions needs to be taken back ,,,,, Tyco gives rebates when their toys don't work.

I have traded futures at different times in my life and because these markets move alot on rumor it seems when a market is hot as is the oil market right now it seems that every hip-up in the industry gets front page attention. Those who make their living by writing stories for new wires are busy putting out as much news as possible right now as the high price of oil is affecting nearly everyone. Only a few months ago alot of stories about the move in gold had similair themes as todays oil stories.

There's just too much at stake and too much temptation for greed and fraud.

Why should I pay more at the pump for something that MAY or MAY NOT happen?

Unfortunately there are too many pension funds tied up in it and so the energy commission doesn't want to cripple those funds. One member of the panel suggested giving them 30 days to re-invest somewhere else. He said that would give them plenty of time and then the government can take action closing all the loopholes that have allowed the speculating to be done in such an irresponsible fashion because of loopholes for those companies. They want to limit the amount of investing done on speculative, not actual physical product. Hope I said all that right.

Everyday or so I go to the Netscape webpage, everyday or so I read "Oil Hits Record High." The price of gas is not stabilizing. That's what's annoying. I'm learning how to ride my kids skateboard so I can get to work.
