Walk through any supermarket here in the U.S and you'll find tons of choices. Want a simple can of soup, you have to wade through 15 different brands of chicken noodle. Or toothpaste, or cereal, or ice cream. Heck, we even have to make a choice between ketchup brands.

Competition among brands is the principal mechanism keeping prices down. If you arbitrarily select to remove products from this competitive environment, the most immediate result will be higher prices.

I don't know, my Mom and I were just talking about choices. Like when I was a kid 35 yrs or so ago, we would go to McDonalds, granted it was only at most 4 times a year, but I recall people standing there, and us as well

'hmmmm do I want a hamburger or (wait a second or 2)a

      cheeseburger? hmmmmm'

and the custard stand, my Dad would say "whataya kids want?"

we'd all be like 'um, um I want a, hmmm, I want chocolate, no wait....um hmm chocolate or vanilla, ah vanilla!!!' make the right choice or you may live to regret it LOL

you had 2 choices, personally I thought that was good enough and things were not expensive. and who complained about not having enough choices??
