We learned that oil is making the world go 'round-- just as it has for the last 150 years.
Also, most Americans own cars and trucks and are not ready to let them become paperweights just yet.
Drill now to keep them working. Drill here so we're not sending billions over there. Even better if we run the oil in Iraq than them. While we're drilling, we'll figure something else to burn later.
That's what we learned. Obviously, libs haven't.

This was and is the only true reason we invaded a sovereign nation without provocation. Saddam had nationalized Iraq's oil reserves, just as many of us would like to see happen here in America. The oil giants are the reason such action couldn't stand in Iraq and won't be allowed to happen here. This is also why Chavez and Venezuela are demonized in the media. Natural resources belong to the earth and all it's creatures, not to private companies who don't pay nearly enough for the privilege of mining/harvesting, refining and selling them!

It will be and also to the hundreds of thousands of lives we SAVED by going into Iraq.
But I don't blame you. Especially if you're as gullible as your avatar implies you to be.

And how will average ripped-off Iraqi citizens respond to this?
"Death to the Multi-National Oil Conglomerates?"
Then Bush can shoot them for their righteous outrage.
Yay America!

We'll see how well the GOP's plan to spin this into "look at how much we're doing to save you from high oil prices" will work.
It's infuriating.

Remember Kucinich when he rose to read the Oil plot, er deal to the House last year ( or was it late 2006 ) anyway he read from the Oil Deal draft that International Oil Companies ( I believe 6 from America ) were going to rob the Iraqis of 87% of their oil.
Now that's why our sons and daughters died in Iraq and why a million Iraqis died and why the country was sacked and why the DU that will last longer than mankind will always be there, so that the most immoral of excuses for human beings could kill and destroy - to improve their bank accounts and their positions of power.
And some of you want to continue this abomination that we have foistered upon our world.
When will we say, no more, never again, and arrest the War Criminals and bring them to justice? We hung Saddam for a lot less.
