Money – The Rev. Al Sharpton has emerged over the past decade as perhaps the nation's most prominent civil rights leader, but government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties.
How on EARTH does one end up owing the IRS 1.5 million dollars -- if I get a couple of thousand behind, their crawling up my butt like a proctologist!
Also -- think about how much money one has to make to end up owing that much in taxes...probably a bit more than you'd think for one who is supposedly championing the plight of the poverty stricken...
yet, isn't Sharpton one of the ones bitching that we should soak the rich more, but apparently agrees with the conservatives that his tax bite is way too high....

It's incredible that the national press would give "Sharptongue" any kind of attention despite the fiasco of the Tawana Brawley case that turned out to be a total farce. But I guess ignorance hasn't stopped with Ed Koch. It's spread all over the media. As long as this bird continues to bring controversy with his brand of fallacious doggerel, it's fodder for the reporters who wouldn't know the facts from fiction if it slapped them upside the head....
