Money – They've lost their homes. Have you not wondered where they went. Nothing on the US media about this problem. It comes from BBC.
Hey, living in a tent city? Can't afford to feed the kids because food prices have doubled?

Guess what this Wikpedia article is about? Only the names have been obscured - to illuminate ALL the guilty!!!
Wow. I thought that was coming, but I didn't know it was already happening. And as cynical as I am, I'm still appalled at the mainstream media for not covering this.
hey beau and BB. I'm not surprised that the mainstream media is not reporting this. So much of the news is not news or accurate it's sickening.
I passed it on to my manager who is handing it out to our Board of Directors. I know this can not be and will not be the only tent city.
Thanks Amazing for posting this. Agree with most of the comments so far.
Several weeks ago, I saw the one couple interviewed in reference to their house having been foreclosed, along with a few other couples who were living in RV's.
Wow, the tents and increased population of the campground is not a good sign!
Scary! Job losses, lower wages, higher prices and lack of re-training in different job skills is taking it's toll!
Prayers for all, who are struggling to survive!
Thanks Amazing1!
Thanks for taking the time to post this extremely important story, which should be on the front page of the NY Times and on all the major media networks.
I'm not just bitter towards this government, I am damn angry at it. Many of us saw this coming for a long time; but the greedy warmongers, profiteers, and neocons were concerned more about immediate gratification and could care less about the American worker, the middle class, and the poor. Their greed is now coming back to haunt them too. Who is left to exploit?
It will take a lot of change and a lot of hardship before we can get this country back on track. It will not be done by continuing business as usual. It will not be done by unfair trade. And it will not be done if we allow the lobbyists to pay off our representatives. Hillary Clinton and McCain represent the lobbyists first and the American people are only secondary.
We better wake up to that fact soon!
Obama is right! We have a right to be bitter!

I find it outrageous that we have to learn this from BBC. Why does our own MSM not even mention the tent cities that have begun to spring up?
This is supposed to be the United States. I was appalled at the sight of my fellow citizens in the aftermath of Katrina. But the occupation in Iraq continues. And now we have tent cities! And the fat cat corporate types don't even turn a hair. And the MSM? What a freaking joke.
Outrageous is the correct word to use. It is SHAMEFUL that people are having to live like this in this country. I thought we were the country that took care of everyone. I believe we have gotten off the right path somewhere.
No, we have let the Rabid Right define liberal as a swear word, and siphon off most of the wealth of the middle class to a tiny handful of elites. Will we keep on voting for this to happen? John McCain wants to give another 10% tax cut to only the wealthiest Americans. He wants $1 trillion per year in new tax cuts with no REAL way to pay for them, so the debt of that party for the rich will go onto the $10 trillion dollar deficit Bush will leave behind.
All that debt will fall to the people in the tents, because the uber wealthy multinationals will just move on to other areas where there is still a bit of wealth for them to grab.
The Truth is that Reagan and the RepugniCons who followed in his footsteps have increased the size of government and the taxes more than any politician before in history. They just hid it from today's taxpayers by putting it all into debt, to be paid by those now in the tents and their children and grandchildren.
Amazing1:
That is not ten miles from where I live. They evicted a bunch of people for not being able to prove they once lived in Ontario, CA.
Welcome to the jungle.
