  "Government will stabilize markets, do what it takes". Yeah, sure. I'm of the opinion that it's too little too late. The constant cycle of boom-bust economics is with us as long as governments relax all regulation when times are good so it makes them look good and then throw taxpayers' money bailing out the failed greed they fueled. Espousing free-market economics whilst nationalizing bank losses is absurd and wrong fundamentally and pragmatically. The only thing to do now is to allow as many banks to fail as possible. It actually won't be the end of the world but throwing money will be far worse in the long run.

  Paulson, an ex-head of a wall street firm certainly will do everything that he can to bail out his pals.

  For his friends who now need a few hundred billion because they have created a mountain of worthelss paper, there is nothing that the Bush administration will not provide.

  Need an extra $60 billion from the Fed to help J.P. Morgan snatch up Bear Sterns for a song? No problem.

  Need an extra 300 billion in exchange for your bad paper? no problem.
