At the present time, it is not in Chavez's interests to block sales of oil to the US, which consumes 60% of Venezuelan production. It is also worth remembering that 28% of VNT stock is held by Venezuelan citizens and it is highly doubtful that Chavez would leave them holding worthless share certificates.
Hmm, maybe Bush wants to invade Venezuela because they have all that oil. Greed of the US oil companies has no boundaries. Hugh Chavez seems to be sincerely interested in the welfare of his country, quite the opposite of Bush. Don't forget all the nasty little deals Bush Sr and others did to countries in South America.
